Our Calgary Video Production Process
From Brief to Delivery
Storimatic Studio runs every Calgary video production project through five stages: discover, pre-production, production day, post-production, and distribution. A typical project takes four to eight weeks from kick-off to delivery, and each stage ends with a deliverable you approve before the next one begins.
We do not just produce videos. We craft visual narratives that drive measurable results for businesses like yours.
Five Stages, One Clear Deliverable Each
No stage starts until you have signed off the one before it. You always know where the project is.
-
1
Discover
We sit down and learn your business: who your ideal clients are, what makes your projects stand out, and what a win looks like for you. We study your competitors, analyze your market, and build a video strategy grounded in data rather than guesswork.
You getA clear video strategy document with target audience, messaging pillars, and a production roadmap.
-
2
Pre-Production
We script, storyboard and schedule every detail before a single camera rolls. Shot lists, location logistics, talent coordination, weather contingencies. We plan the shoot so we can shoot the plan.
You getApproved script, storyboard and production schedule. You know exactly what is happening and when.
-
3
Production Day
Our crew arrives on your jobsite with professional cinema equipment. We capture your work the way it deserves to be seen: aerial drone footage, ground level craftsmanship, team interviews and behind the scenes moments.
You getRaw footage library including primary content, B-roll, interviews and aerial shots.
-
4
Post-Production
This is where your story comes alive. Cinematic colour grading, professional sound design, motion graphics and pacing engineered for both social media impact and formal bid presentations.
You getPolished final videos in multiple formats: full length, social cuts and presentation ready versions.
-
5
Distribution and Growth
We do not just hand you a file. We deploy your videos across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and your website with SEO optimization. Then we repurpose them into blog content, social clips and quote cards to maximize every dollar spent.
You getA multi-platform distribution plan with content calendar and repurposing strategy.

01How long does a Calgary video production project take?+
A typical Storimatic Studio project runs four to eight weeks from kick-off to delivery. Discovery takes about one week, pre-production two to three weeks, filming one to two days, and post-production two to four weeks. Distribution continues after delivery.
02What happens in the discovery stage?+
Discovery is a working session about the business, not the camera. We map your ideal client, what makes your projects stand out, and what a win looks like, then research competitors and the market. You leave with a written video strategy document.
03Do I need to be on set during the shoot?+
No. Most jobsite shoots run with a site contact rather than the owner. Everything is agreed in pre-production through an approved script, storyboard and schedule, so production day follows a plan you have already signed off.
04What do I actually receive at the end?+
Every project delivers a full length hero video, platform specific social cuts, a presentation ready version for bids, and the raw footage library including B-roll, interviews and aerial shots.
05Do you help distribute the video after delivery?+
Yes. Distribution is the fifth stage, not an add-on. We publish across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and your website with SEO optimization, then repurpose the footage into blog content, social clips and quote cards.
