The Reason People Choose You, On Film
Storimatic Studio makes brand story films for Calgary businesses. Two minutes that say who you are and why you work the way you do, told by the people who built the company rather than written by a copywriter.

Calgary Brand Stories We've Put on Film
The Story, Cut for the Feed
Vertical cuts from our channel. A brand film does not stop at the homepage, it becomes a month of short form.
Nobody Remembers an About Page
Build trust
Show your local roots, your values and what you have actually put into this city. A viewer decides whether to believe you long before they read a spec sheet.
Connect emotionally
People buy from companies they feel something about. A story creates the impression that survives the three other quotes on their desk.
Increase conversions
Video drives significantly more conversions than text alone, because it answers doubt faster than a paragraph can.
Everyone Lists the Same Services at the Same Price
In a market this competitive, the specification sheet is a commodity. What is not a commodity is the reason your company does the work the way it does, and who is behind it.
Higher engagement from authentic brand stories than from traditional ads
More likely to be shared on social platforms
Of customers feel more connected to brands with a compelling story
Figures from published marketing research. Replace this line with the study names and years before publishing.

Three Steps to a Story Worth Watching
Find the story worth telling
Most companies lead with what they do. We look for the decision, the setback or the standard that explains why you do it that way, because that is the part a competitor cannot copy.
You getA story angle and a shoot plan, agreed before anything is bookedShoot the people, not the brochure
Founders and crew on camera in their own environment, plus the working footage that carries the narrative. Nothing is read from a script and nothing is staged twice.
You getA shoot day, interviews and the B-roll that supports themCut it, then cut it again
The full film for your site, a short cut for social and ads, and a version sized for a conference screen or a sales meeting. One story, several places it works.
You getThe full film plus the cut-downs, captioned and sized per platformWhat Customers Actually Remember

A brand story film answers the question your buyer is really asking: are these the people I want to work with?
Brand Story Video, Answered
01What is a brand story video?+
A short film about who your company is and why it works the way it does, told by the people who built it. It is not a service explainer and it is not an ad. It answers the question a buyer is really asking before they commit.
02How long should a brand story video be?+
Around two minutes for the main film. Longer than that and the website version loses people; shorter and there is no room for a story arc. The social and ad cuts run 15 to 60 seconds and come from the same shoot.
03Do we need a script?+
No, and we would rather you did not have one. Founders reading a script sound like founders reading a script. We prepare questions, run the interview as a conversation, and build the narrative in the edit.
04What if our founder is not comfortable on camera?+
That is normal and it is our job to work around. The interview is a conversation, not a performance, and the first ten uneasy minutes never make the cut. If a founder truly should not front it, a long-serving crew member often tells the story better anyway.
05Where do we actually use it?+
Homepage and about page, the top of a sales deck, a conference screen, a partner meeting, and recruiting posts. It is the one asset that works in every room, which is why it is worth doing properly once.
06How is this different from a testimonial video?+
A testimonial is your customer explaining what you did for them. A brand story is you explaining who you are. Most companies need both, and they are usually shot separately because the interview approach is different.
07Do you work outside Calgary?+
Yes. Storimatic Studio shoots across Alberta including Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Canmore, Banff and Edmonton. Travel outside Calgary is quoted up front.
